Better Search 1.1 for Mac

Better Search 1.1 for Mac Download is provided free of charge and with out any warranty. Beginning with MacOS X 10.4.0 Spotlight took away the ability to search deeply in your hard drive. You could not search packages nor could you search in invisible directories. Better Search attempts to correct that. While it is not as pretty as Spotlight it does allow one to have greater control over a search. But this comes at a cost. Better search does use a high level of cpu time and memory.

With Better Search 1.1 for Mac, you can run multiple searches at the same time, search in packages, search visible and invisible directories and search case insensitive or not. Better Search will also allow you to either only search for Directories or files, or both. Keep in mind when you search that Bundles such as Applications, are considered by the system to be directories. This will possibly be accounted for in a future release but for now you must choose to find either files and folder, or folders if you are looking for applications or other bundles.
What’s new in this version 1.1:,
Better search can now be used as either a standard application or a Status Menu Item on the right side of your menu bar.
